Thank you to everyone who came out to the FHWA Mobile Concrete Testing Lab Open House on May 17th!
The day began with presentations over-viewing the C-470 project and Performance Engineered Mixtures, followed by a BBQ lunch and concrete testing demos performed by FHWA staff.
Thank you to Castle Rock Construction Company for their collaboration providing a test site on the C-470 project and to CDOT for the use of their facility and assistance in planning. Also, thank you to FHWA and the Mobile Concrete Testing Lab for coming out and performing new and innovative concrete tests!

The FHWA’s Mobile Concrete Trailer (MCT) introduces agency and industry personnel to the state-of-the-art concrete technology in materials selection, mixture design, field and laboratory testing, and pavement evaluation. The MCT is visiting Colorado to introduce new test methods related to the Performance Engineered Mixtures (PEM) initiative and other innovative tests related to concrete materials and construction relevant to field performance.
